The chess season at PEPPS Motheong School has officially begun, starting with an exciting opening match hosted right here on our campus. The event brought together learners who share a passion for the game, creating an atmosphere filled with focus, strategy, and friendly competition.

From the first move to the final checkmate, our players demonstrated impressive concentration, determination, and thoughtful decision-making at the chessboard. The match provided a wonderful opportunity for learners to test their skills while representing the school with pride.

We are incredibly proud of every learner who participated and stepped up to the board with confidence and good sportsmanship. Chess is not only a game of strategy but also an excellent way to develop critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills.

As the season continues, we look forward to seeing our players grow in their abilities, sharpen their strategic thinking, and enjoy many rewarding moments throughout the competition.
